Toshiaki Tai (田井利明 Tai Toshiaki) is a Japanese game developer working for Inti Creates. He is the main writer of the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, as well as a game planner and recording director, and is the director of the Gunvolt Chronicles series. He was also a scenario writer for a number of other Inti Creates games such as Gal*Gun: Double Peace and Blaster Master Zero 2, and the main director of Yohane the Parhelion -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE-.

Trivia

• In Isola: Full Power Idol, he appears with his own name as one of Isola's fans buying her CD. This voice role is not listed in the credits.
• Tai is a fan of romantic comedies which, in combination with him writing for Gal*Gun: Double Peace within the same time period, had influenced how he had written Joule's interactions in GV1, as well as the interactions between Quinn, Joule, and Gunvolt in GV2. This was in spite of internal rules of avoiding excessive depictions of romantic relationships within the games.
