Shovel Knight is the main protagonist of the game Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope (also known as Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove), developed and published by Yacht Club Games. A blue armor-clad knight, Shovel Knight has appeared in several Inti Creates projects.
Shovel Knight can be fought in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 as a bonus boss by either Gunvolt or Copen by scanning the Shovel Knight amiibo. Defeating him as Gunvolt unlocks the Equipment Shovel Ring in the synth menu, while defeating him as Copen unlocks the Code of Shovelry.

Shovel Knight, alongside Gunvolt, is one of several DLC characters for Blaster Master Zero, having been announced alongside Shantae. He was released on the 3rd of August 2017.

Blade Strangers[]
Shovel Knight appears alongside Gunvolt as a guest fighter in the crossover fighting game Blade Strangers.
Boss Battle Skills[]
Unlike most other bosses, Shovel Knight has no Special Skill. He performs his attacks with greater intensity as his health drops. It is noteworthy that Gunvolt and Copen will be at Level 1 while fighting Shovel Knight, similar to Score Attack mode.
Mechanically, Shovel Knight can be considered a medium boss based on limited moveset, health bar type, and the kudos bonus gained with a skill finish against him.
