Not to be confused with "Kohaku", a protagonist in the Gunvolt Chronicles series.
Kohaku Otori, aka Unity-chan, is the 1st crossover DLC boss in Luminous Avenger iX 2, appearing as part of a collaboration between iX2 and the game COGEN: Sword of Rewind. Her battle is available as both downloadable content for $7.99 / €6.99 / 800 Yen, and is installed in all physical versions of iX2 by default. In COGEN, Copen appears as a DLC playable character.
Kohaku is the main protagonist and playable character of the game COGEN: Sword of Rewind by Gemdrops. A young girl who fights with her sentient, time-reversing sword "ExeBreaker".
Defeating her grants the Ouroboros System iX subroutine, which when equipped makes Copen's EX Weapon Cryo-Flash no longer consume weapon energy or inflict steady damage.
Kohaku is the only iX2 DLC boss without encounter dialogue.

Also known as the famous Unity-chan. Coming from the world of "COGEN: Sword of Rewind," she has been sucked into the world of "Luminous Avenger iX 2." She's equipped with her trusty sword the "Exebreaker" and its "Ouroboros System" that allows her to rewind time.[2]

A series of three progressively larger sword beams launched in Copen's direction. In phase 2 onward she will launch four slashes. |

A powerful upward swinging attack. Getting caught by it will result in chain damage as Copen rises with the spin blade and is eventually sent flying into a wall, dealing additional damage. In Hard Mode, she will send waves from the sword as she ascends. |
地壊衝撃波[3] |
Kohaku performs a dashing thrust across the arena to one end, then jumps up and smashes the ground, sending out a large energy wave and debris. |
居合連閃[3] |
A speedy attack as Kohaku draws her blade. After the slash, an energy flash will follow Copen. In Hard Mode, she will slam ExeBreaker into the ground at the end and all energy flashes will appear. |
ウロボロスシステム |
Her SP Skill. Upon Kohaku's death, ExeBreaker activates and saves her by rewinding time to the start of phase 3 of the battle. All kudos accumulated after that point and any damage Copen himself took are also reset. The only way to counter this is to defeat Kohaku while she's not holding Exebreaker i.e. Recoil Dash into her Counter stance and defeat her in the brief window of vulnerability. |

- The collaboration with COGEN: Sword of Rewind was originally meant to be with Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 due to both Kohaku and Kirin being sword wielding heroines, but the plans ran into trouble and the collab was changed to be with iX2 instead due to Gunvolt 3 being delayed. Additionally, Kohaku Otori and iX Kohaku sharing names caused Gemdrops to originally ask to use Kohaku for their end of the collab, but afterwards they felt it wasn't right and began working on Copen instead.[4]
- Kohaku Otori is the first boss in the series whose only SP skill is not used when she reaches phase 3.
- Kohaku's Iai Flash move in Luminous Avenger iX 2 is inherited from her father Yuji Otori in COGEN: Sword of Rewind.
- Kohaku Otori is the only Japanese-speaking DLC boss in iX2 without an English voice actor.
- She is also one of the two bosses to not have dialogue at the start of the fight; the other is The Creator.
