Ippo Yamada 2

Ippo Yamada (山田一法 Yamada Ippō, born August 6[1]) is a Japanese video game composer and one of the founding members of Inti Creates. He has worked as a composer for many Inti Creates titles, including the Azure Striker Gunvolt series and the Mega Man Zero series. He has worked as one of the sound directors and Japanese voice recording directors of many works, and is the producer of Inti Creates soundtrack releases. Also goes by the name IPPO.

He was originally Inti Creates' Sound Production Section Chief (サウンド制作課長),[2] but at some point before 2023 he stepped down from the position and it now belongs to composer Aoi Takeda.[3] Yamada still retains an executive position as a company board member, however.[4]

Trivia[]

  • Yamada was the one who proposed Inti Creates' full name, Interactive Image Creates, which won the vote among founding members to decide the name.[5]
  • It has been noted by fans that Yamada and the character Asimov resemble each other, but according to Inti Creates' CEO Takuya Aizu this is purely a coincidence, and the directors and designers have said so themselves.[6]
  • Among some Japanese fans he has the nickname Long Haired Uncle (ロン毛おじさん), or just Long Hair (ロン毛).
