The "Data Doppelgangers" are modified data copies of Gunvolt and Beck that appear in Mighty Gunvolt Burst. They were created by Teseo via his Septima Hack the Planet to trick the two into opposing each other.

They initially appear at the end of the stage City to the opposite protagonist, declaring themselves to be the master of the VR world and issuing a challenge before fleeing. After Gunvolt and Beck's fight in Gateway concludes, Teseo reveals himself and the copies.

In Cyberspace Colosseum, when Teseo is confronted he will make a copy of the player character on the fly to serve as the game's penultimate boss. This occurs with all nine player characters, not just Gunvolt and Beck.

Appearances

Copy Beck

He has a darker color scheme than Beck. His visor is down over his eyes, and his visor's eyeholes and his arm and leg rims glow red. His Xels are also red.

Copy Gunvolt

His armor and hair are darker in color than Gunvolt's, and a dark gray metallic mask covers his upper face. His mask's eyeholes and details on his armor glow pinkish-red, and his lightning is the same color.

Boss Battle Skills

Skill	Description
"Curve Shot"	The copy charges up and fires three large bullets in a curved trajectory.
"Wave Shot"	The copy charges up and fires three large bullets in a wave trajectory.
"Homing Shot"	The copy charges up and fires three large bullets, which hover in place for a moment as they lock on to the player's position and then shoot in that direction.
"Copy Shot"	The copy scans the player and copies their currently equipped bullet specifications, and uses that as a casual attack while running back and forth across the stage.

  Copy Gunvolt's mask resembles the one worn by the Sumeragi Group-affiliated villainous Gunvolt of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2's early development.
• In the game files, the Data Doppelgangers have the same full range of sprites as their respective player characters, but many of the sprites go unused due to the Data Doppelgangers' limited actions in their boss fights.
