Trivia[]

  • The stage is named after and loosely based on the Cyber Kowloon Walled City (電脳九龍城), more properly known as Warehouse Kawasaki, a dystopian cyberpunk themed arcade in Japan that closed down in 2019. The arcade was modeled after Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City, which itself was demolished in the early 1990s. This basis also ties into the dragon motifs of Gunvolt 3; Kowloon (九龍) means "Nine Dragons."
  • Several background elements in this stage contain references to bosses from Gunvolt 1 and Gunvolt 2, including:
    • Graffiti at the beginning of the stage with the same iconography featured on Gibril's shirt.
    • A neon sign of a purple snake with the name "Elise" written underneath.
    • A neon sign with a purple diamond that reads "Prism Jewelry," likely a reference to Ghauri.
    • A pink and purple neon sign with four playing card suits and a bow, likely a reference to Zonda.
    • The stage also contains neon signs resembling Lumen, which ZedΩ calls attention to in his version of the stage.
