Walk in the light in his name Venture to the future in his name In the name of the King of the End
Another Sun is a mission in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, taking place in the stage Ballistic Missiles. The mission occurs after all four Berserk Adept missions have been cleared.
The mission scenario is a reference to a scrapped draft of the ending of Azure Striker Gunvolt, in which following Nova's death the defense barrier protecting Japan would fail and foreign countries would commence a missile attack. Asimov would have betrayed Gunvolt as he tried to stop the missiles, and the story was to conclude with him grinning as they struck. One of Asimov's image pulses being the reward for completing the Hard Mode version of the stage may be a reference to this.
This concept also influenced the development of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. In an early draft of the story, the antagonist faction was going to be an alliance of foreign countries named GHQ, later renamed G7, and then reconceived as the Adept supremacist union Eden. Eden's group of elite Adepts being named the G7 (Grimwald 7) and all being named after missiles was derived from the early concepts.
Although the mission select icon depicts what appears to be stage concept art, none can be found in the Gunvolt 3 limited edition artbook. This is also true of the Sunrise Palace stages.
The mission is also a reference to an intermission stage in Mega Man Zero 3, where Omega is stored in a missile as a transportation method and Zero ends up riding it while attempting to intercept him and stop the attack.
